I remember the "Rat Pack"! I was in 8th grade - I think it was the Spring of 1969 when they "invaded" our little community (boy were they surprised!) I remember hearing that they were chased off by people using the Vollies firehoses to "wash them away" I heard they were knocked right off their bikes by the water pressure & decided it wasn't worth it after all (I guess they didn't expect us to fight back! Proves they knew NOTHING about "Beachites!")
